THE 8TH ANNUAL KELLSIE MEMORIAL
IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
As we close in on the 8th year of this amazing day, we on the committee always enjoy taking some time to reflect on how much we all look forward to it. Seeing how it’s evolved is even more special. More players each year have their kids playing in the morning skills session and learning important life lessons from our guests. More friends come out for what seems more like a reunion every year to our annual after party at the pilot and most important, each year we continue to support a very special cause and each year our support is not just appreciated by the foundation, it’s of tremendous help.
In 2011, our "kids skills" program run in part by the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey development program and Chris Versteeg from North Toronto Hockey Assoc. will be accompanied by a representative from THINK FIRST who will be speaking about the dangers of concussions and the hockey hits that cause them and our Toronto Police Force, who will be speaking once again about bullying in our schools and how we can prevent it from happening.
As we have for the last 7 years, we are grateful to again find our home at the "NT" Arena, a revered Toronto hockey shrine, where many Kellsie Participants played youth hockey. Indeed, we would like to thank the Staff and the Executive Committee of the North Toronto Hockey Arena for their continued support.
This year, the Pilot Tavern’s ROOF TOP PATIO, will play host to our after party on the evening of September 24th. With the event a week earlier this year, hopefully that will mean an even warmer evening than last year.
As the countdown begins and we continue to prepare, we ask that everyone RSVP soon!
